What is cupping?

Cupping treatment involves placing glass or plastic cups on the skin and the application of suction. This stimulates blood flow and can reduce swelling, tension and pain.

In conjunction with therapeutic relaxation or remedial massage, cupping can enhance the effect of treatment.

Fixed cupping is currently the most common cupping method at use in the clinic. This involves applying the cup directly to the site of pain or tension and leaving it on for for 3-5 minutes.

Fixed cupping may leave marks or bruises. This is a normal response and usually fades within a couple of days.

Functional cupping through the pecs. Great for people with a hunched or forward posture.
