CODE OF ETHICS AND STANDARDS

As a member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia and as part of the Hyland Hands Myotherapy Policies, the Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, are aligned with the legislated National Code of Conduct of Victoria, Australia.

The Codes and Standards outline the professional conduct expected of health professionals to preserve and enhance their professional reputations as well as the general reputation of the health industry in Australia.

​In the health care environment, sexual assault, inappropriate treatment or comment between providers and clients is considered professional sexual misconduct and is reportable to authorities.

​At Hyland Hands Myotherapy, we do not discriminate against race, culture, religion, age, sex, sexuality, gender identification or medical choice.

COVIDSafe PLAN

With the direction by the Department of Health, a COVIDSafe plan has been put in place. It is readily available at the reception desk. Any questions concerning the COVIDSafe plan, please do not hesitate to contact hylandhandstherapies.com.

In order to keep our clinic COVIDSafe, we have implemented the following safety measures:

* Linen is changed after every client

* Linen is washed at 90 degrees and with laundry sanitiser. It is also dried at the hottest possible dryer setting.

* Treatment room and waiting room will be sprayed with SHIELDme cleaning spray after every treatment.

* 15min gaps between appointments to avoid client to client contact and ensure adequate and thorough cleaning of the clinic.

​Please do not make a booking if you are having any signs of the flu/cold (mild or if you are unsure) or if you are not feeling well in general. With any kind of viruses or sickness, Myotherapy treatment will not help you. Stay home and rest.

PRIVACY AND CONDIFIDIENTIALITY POLICIES

As a member of MMA, Hyland Hands Myotherapy privacy and confidentiality policies are aligned with the policies of Massage & Myotherapy Australia. This practice is committed to the privacy of its clients. Personal information is treated as confidential and is used only for the purpose for which it was collected. Information kept on file will not be released to a third party without the express consent of the client or as required by law.

CANCELLATIONS

Just a gentle reminder of the Cancellation Policy. Hyland Hands Myotherapy can get quite busy and we value both the client's and the Therapist time.

Failure to attend your massage booking without notice (No Show) or cancelled within 12 hours will incur a $30.00 fee. 

By giving us adequate notice, if you are unable to make your appointment, allows us to fill that appointment with a client who either needs an appointment and/or is on the waiting list.

Obviously there are situations where doing so is unavoidable, so the charge will be applied at the therapist discretion, situation dependant.

LATE ARRIVALS

Time of your appointment has been allocated to you. Late arrival may result in a shortened session time in order to accommodate appointments after yours. Full payment for your session will be required.
